Terms & Conditions

Effective June 11, 2026 · Applies to the METAR Master iOS app and metarmaster.com (together, "METAR Master"). By using METAR Master you agree to these terms.

1. Education and situational awareness only

METAR Master is an aviation weather education, training, and situational-awareness tool. It is not an official weather briefing source and is not a substitute for an official weather briefing, approved flight-planning software, flight service, dispatch procedures, current FAA regulations, or pilot judgment. Risk levels and summaries are suggestions for training purposes. The pilot in command is solely responsible for every preflight decision. Always verify weather with official sources before flight.

2. Weather data

Weather, airport, and map data come from third-party public sources including NOAA/AviationWeather.gov, the FAA, NASA, and RainViewer. Data may be delayed, incomplete, incorrect, or unavailable. The app always shows report age and marks stale data, but we make no guarantee of accuracy, timeliness, or availability.

3. License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app and site. If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. You agree not to abuse, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the service or its APIs, and not to use it in any unlawful way.

4. Pilot tips and other user content

Tips you post are public, anonymous, and must relate to the airport (no advertising, links, personal data, or abusive content). You keep ownership of what you write and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display and moderate it. We may remove any tip at any time; community-reported tips are hidden automatically. To request removal of a tip you posted, email support@metarmaster.com.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

METAR Master is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, METAR Master and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information in the app or on the site - including flight decisions. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim (currently $0).

7. Changes

We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Questions: support@metarmaster.com.
